Our Story
Tom and Luke persevered through numerous challenges in bringing GRIP'R to life. Frustrated with off-the-shelf mug handles designed for 20 and 30-ounce tumblers, they set out to design a universal, adjustable mug handle. This handle had to adapt to fit tapered and non-tapered beverage containers, be foldable for convenience when not in use, and be mountable on various surfaces, including ATVs, boats, motorcycles, and construction equipment. Structural integrity was paramount to handle the high levels of shock and vibration in these applications.
About Us: Innovators of GRIP'R - The Ultimate Beverage Containment System
At GRIP'R, innovation is at the heart of what we do. Our journey began in 2010 when our founder, Tom, had a brilliant idea to create the ultimate beverage containment system. He envisioned a drink holder that could securely accommodate nearly any size beverage container, even in dynamic applications like ATVs, boats, construction equipment, and motorcycles.
After 18 months of meticulous development, rigorous testing, and a significant investment, Tom licensed his original BevCon drink holder to a major powersports manufacturer/distributor. However, the soaring production cost led to an exorbitant retail price, rendering the product unmarketable despite its incredible potential. Subsequently, in 2019, Tom and his new partner, Luke, revived Tom's pursuit, envisioning the Ultimate Beverage Containment System, which culminated in GRIP'R.
Early prototypes may have appeared crude, but they were pivotal in testing the concept's feasibility in dynamic environments like ATVs. It was a snowboard binding ratchet strap integrated into a 30-ounce mug handle that helped them understand the potential.
The real breakthrough came when Tom noticed the turnbuckle dial on the back of his welding helmet. They incorporated this mechanism into GRIP'R to allow users to easily adjust the diameter of the beverage surround. While finding a manufacturer for custom turnbuckles was challenging, a Swiss company specializing in mountain climbing helmets provided the solution.
Next was to incorporate the turn buckle into the design. Prototypes were created and tested. With test after test, the final product kept getting better and better. Finally, after a year of prototyping and testing, the design was ready for the engineers.

Finally, they received their first initial stock supply in October 2023. Their dedication paid off as they evolved their initial concept into a functional product.
